What we don't fund

  • Organizations without 501(c)(3) status. (Note that public and private educational institutions are the only exceptions.)
  • Requests from outside Otter Tail Power Company's service area.
  • Individuals.
  • Lobbying, political, or fraternal groups.
  • Programs that pose a potential conflict of interest to the company.
  • Golf events. (Contact your local Customer Service Center for potential support.)
  • Religious organizations, unless the organization is seeking charitable funds in the direct interest of the entire community and not to promote a particular faith.
  • Fund-raising events, social events, or goodwill advertising. (Contact your local Customer Service Center for potential support.)
  • General operating support for educational institutions.
