Our Rugby/Garrison service area is in north central North Dakota. Bottineau, Drake, Fessenden, Garrison, Harvey, Leeds, McClusky, Rolette, Rugby, Tuttle, Underwood, Velva, and Washburn are some of the major communities in our Rugby/Garrison Customer Service Area.
Garrison is nestled beside Lake Sakakawea, the largest man-made lake in the nation. Garrison has become known in recent years for the North Dakota Governor's Cup Walleye Tournament that attracts hundreds of serious fishermen to Lake Sakakawea each July. Situated just off a four-lane highway within an hour's drive of either Minot or Bismarck, Garrison has an all-weather airport with lighted runway and convenient Soo Line Rail service.
Rugby, the county seat of Pierce County, is along Highway 14, approximately 60 miles from Minot and Devils Lake. Rugby is the geographical center of North America. Burlington Northern and Amtrak provide rail service to Rugby. Rugby has a municipal airport with a 3500-foot paved lighted runway. The nearest commercial airport is at Minot.
