If you're not able to pay your electric bill, please call us at 800-257-4044 as soon as you can to discuss possible payment arrangements.

You may want to consider our Even Monthly Payment plan, which averages your energy use over the year so that you pay the same amount each month.

Energy assistance programs

We encourage you to also reach out to your local energy assistance agency or Community Action Council to ask about their programs if you expect to have financial challenges for the foreseeable future.

Uplift program

Minnesota residential customers receiving Energy Assistance are eligible for a credit on their electric bills through our new Uplift program. 

To apply, you’ll first need to complete an energy assistance application with your local energy assistance provider. Once approved for energy assistance, complete the Uplift application and submit by email to ccadministration@otpco.com or mail it to:

Program enrollment is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. To remain enrolled in the Uplift program you must reapply for energy assistance every season and continue making monthly payments on your electric bills.
