Program for savings
Are you a Minnesota customer? And is your home's primary heat electric? If so, use your smartphone to help you save money. Upgrade your old thermostat to a smart thermostat and get $100 or $150 in rebates. Customers with electric cooling but without electric heating can qualify for a $35 or $50 rebate.
The benefits of a smart thermostat
A smart thermostat lets you automatically control your home’s heating and air conditioning—from anywhere! It can:
- Learn your home energy use preferences over time and make automatic adjustments.
- Allow you to manage your home’s settings from any device that’s connected to the Internet (like your smartphone or tablet).
- Help you save energy—and money—by setting a schedule to control the temperature of your home.
Rebate eligibility and details
Rebates are available for Tier II and Tier III smart thermostats. Electricity must be your home’s primary heating source and the smart thermostat must be used to control this source. Only one rebate per household.
