Receives Rebate From Otter Tail Power Company For Final Geothermal Heat Pump Upgrades

Otter Tail Power Company provided a rebate of $30,400 to Norman County East Secondary School for completing the third major phase of their energy-efficient upgrades.

The school’s geothermal upgrade began with a phase one replacement of 13 geothermal heat pumps this past winter. The second phase of the project included installation of 15 additional heat pumps as well as 10 smart thermostats.

During the third and final phase, the school upgraded another 15 heat pumps. “I’m pleased with how this project progressed,” said Superintendent Rob Nudell. “Otter Tail Power Company’s rebate helped make the project affordable and within our budget.”
