On June 25, 2026, the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission (PUC) approved a Route Permit for the Minnesota portion of the Big Stone South to Alexandria (BSSA) 345-kilovolt transmission line.

On June 24, 2026, the North Dakota Public Service Commission approved a Certificate of Corridor Compatibility and Route Permit for the Jamestown to Ellendale transmission line (JETx). Once built, JETx will enhance reliability, increase resiliency to extreme weather events, reduce transmission congestion, and increase access to low-cost energy.
