Energy Control and Declared-Peak Pricing Alerts

Customers who partner with us in energy control or time-of-use rate options may sign up to receive alerts about energy control events and declared-peak pricing events that affect their electric service account.

Energy control alerts

  1. Anticipated-controlalerts tell you when we expect control activity but haven't yet started. These contain our best estimate of when control will occur. Please note: We aren’t aware of all control events in advance, so an anticipated-control alert isn’t sent for every control event.
  2. Actual-controlalerts tell you when control begins and ends. You may subscribe to receive alerts associated to the location and rate on which we serve your account.

Declared-peak pricing alerts

Declared peak rates include our Irrigation Option 2 and General Service Time of Use Rates. If you use one of these, you may sign up to get day-ahead declared-peak pricing alerts. We include the hours when peak pricing will be in effect and the price per kilowatt-hour that will apply to that period. Based on that information, you can choose to:

  1. Shut off electrical loads to avoid paying a peak price.
  2. Continue typical energy use at a higher price during declared-peak hours.

Hours and pricing vary by state and rate.
