EVantage

Get credited for charging during off-peak times without a separate meter

During peak energy periods, we control the energy to your electric vehicle charger. Controls during peak conditions will typically last less than 3 hours with up to 2 hours of uninterrupted charging following each control event. Once the peak period has passed, charging will return to normal operation. Participating in EVantage saves money on your electric bill without requiring an additional off-peak electric service.

EVantage credit details

  • Setup is simple! Your licensed electrician will connect a Level 2 EV charger to your regular (firm service) electric service panel and provide a wire for our radio receiver connection.
  • We provide a radio receiver at no extra cost.
  • You receive a credit of $9 to $13 per full month. (Credit varies if multiple EVs are registered.)

What you’ll need to participate

  • A Level 2 charging station. This requires a dedicated 240V circuit and Level 2 EV supply equipment. Expect to pay around $1,000 for wiring the required equipment. Costs will vary depending on the structure of your home and service location.
  • A disconnect and relay. The disconnect and relay must tie into the supplied energy load. The required relay will receive its input from the relay we provide that operates based on the rate's energy delivery schedule, which limits energy supply to the hours of 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
