Manager, Transmission Policy

Oversee the Company's FERC and MISO policy department, a role pivotal in shaping strategic policies that drive our operational and financial success. As a leader in this role, you will spearhead innovative solutions and strategies, positioning the company for success in the energy industry. Join our team and lead the charge in shaping the future of our company's FERC/MISO policy landscape, making a significant impact on our success and growth. Oversee the identification, monitoring, analysis and communication of significant FERC/MISO initiatives related to federal regulatory policy and MISO policies or tariffs. Represent the company and manage interactions with MISO, FERC, and state regulatory bodies regarding transmission policy and federal regulatory issues, including providing public statements or testimony. Serve as the principal authority on transmission-related tariffs and associated FERC issues overseeing the preparation and submission of FERC regulatory filings, including directing and/or drafting written testimony and comments.
Qualifications
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience, ideally with five or more years in the energy sector. The successful candidate will demonstrate deep expertise in MISO or similar RTOs, federal and state regulations, transmission tariffs, and utility operations. Proficiency in transmission planning, cost allocation, system operations, and market impact analysis is essential. Candidates must possess strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills, along with the ability to adapt to evolving responsibilities. A solid understanding of stakeholder processes and the regulatory landscape, combined with sharp analytical thinking and time management under pressure, is required. Experience in interpreting transmission-related legal contracts and orders, and a commitment to representing the company positively, are key. Travel may be required to support the role.

Senior Manager, Energy Supply Operations

Responsibilities
This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Energy Supply Operations, including the safe, reliable, and efficient performance of generating units and market activities. The position ensures that outage and maintenance programs align with industry best practices and regulatory expectations, while also managing vendor and contractor relationships across all company-owned generation assets. The role includes active monitoring of unit availability during system stress events, accountability for safety performance, and oversight of operational dashboards and key performance indicators such as heat rates, forced outage rates, and availability. The successful candidate will develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency, support new facility planning in collaboration with engineering and construction teams, and maintain strong relationships with co-owners and key partners. Additional responsibilities include optimizing generation dispatch and market participation, staying current with industry developments, and leading the adoption of advanced technologies like AI and predictive analytics to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
We are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable professional with a strong background in electric power generation. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of electric generating equipment, plant operations, and maintenance, typically acquired through an engineering degree. A minimum of 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in power generation is required, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility. Exceptional communication, leadership, organizational, and planning skills are essential. The candidate must also have a solid grasp of OSHA and environmental regulations, as well as a working knowledge of wholesale market rules and MISO operations.
