Motor efficiency rebates

Get up to 75% of your purchase costs back on select projects!

Replacing inefficient motors can increase profits

Motors can account for up to 75% of electricity costs in industrial plants and up to 50% in commercial buildings. Lower these costs by moving toward high-efficiency motors, which:

  • Require lower maintenance costs.
  • Run more quietly.
  • Operate at lower temperatures.
  • Last longer and are easier to repair.
  • Provide a higher power factor, leading to lower energy costs.

Eligibility and details

Rebates are available for motors with AC 3-phase speeds of 1200, 1800, and 3600 RPM up to 500 horsepower. Motors must exceed NEMA Premium Efficiency requirements by one full NEMA band and can be either new, inventoried, or replaced at failure. (Those replaced at failure simply need to meet or exceed NEMA Premium Efficiency.)

Rebates range from $40 to $7,000 and are based on your motor’s horsepower and type. Total rebate payment cannot exceed 75% of your project costs or annual electric bill amount.

Rebate tables are displayed below.
