Drive Power

Rebates for motors and drives used to power your facilities.

Install energy-efficient motors and drives to save

Our Drive Power program provides rebates for all motors and drives used to power your facilities.

Your system designer or installing contractor must ensure your entire facility complies with IEEE Standard 519 after completion of the adjustable-speed drive installation or retrofit. Failure to comply with this rule may result in disqualification of any rebate request.

Adjustable-speed drives (ASDs)

Reduce your energy use by up to 50% by installing an ASD to match motor speed to the requirements of a fluctuating load. We offer $60-per-horsepower rebates for nonseasonal centrifugal applications and $40-per-horsepower rebates for seasonal and HVAC centrifugal applications.

Electronically commutated motors (ECMs)

Upgrade exhaust and HVAC system fans with energy-efficient ECMs. Rebates of $15 to $175 for motor horsepower (HP) ECMs between 0.125 HP and 1.5 HP are available.

Motors

Industrial, commercial, and agricultural customers can save by upgrading to energy-efficient new, replacement, or retrofit motors.

Rebates are available for motors with AC 3-phase speeds of 1200, 1800, and 3600 rpm, up to 500 HP. Motors must exceed NEMA Premium Efficiency requirements by one full NEMA band and can be either new, inventoried, or replaced at failure. (Those replaced at failure simply need to meet or exceed NEMA Premium Efficiency.)

Rebates range from $40 to $7,000 and are based on your motor’s horsepower and type.

Hand dryers

Purchase an electric hand dryer and receive a $250 rebate. Hand dryers must use 5 watt-hours or less per use, operate with motion activation at loads of 1,500 watts or less, and not include electric heating elements.
